From landscaping to irrigation
Matthew has been working in the general landscaping space since 2008. Over those years he built up his skills across new turf installs, paving, retaining walls, general gardening and plant selection, the full range of work that goes into building an outdoor space from scratch.
Irrigation was the part he kept coming back to. It is the part of a garden that keeps the rest alive through an Adelaide summer, and it repays doing well: correct hydraulics, the right sprinkler in the right place, and a controller that runs a sensible schedule. Since 2016 it has been his full time focus.
Mid Coast Irrigation is a one man operation by choice. That means the person who quotes the job is the person who does the work and the person you call afterwards if something needs adjusting. Nothing gets lost between an office and a subcontractor.
In recent years the speciality has become Wifi and Bluetooth controllers. Smart control is the single biggest upgrade most Adelaide households can make to an existing system, and the water savings depend on how well it is set up.
